Based on Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, this early film version is from
the English Twickenham studios. It tells the story of the miserly Ebenezer
Scrooge's transformation from a man with no time for Christmas or sentiment
into a generous employer and uncle with a true spirit of the holiday. He is helped
along his path to understanding by ghosts of Christmas past, present and future.
After his future is foretold, he decides it's time to spread the wealth around.
The main feature will be preceded with the vintage cartoon "Rudolph the Red-Nosed
Reindeer", which is 8 min. in length. The main feature and the cartoon are not
rated.
This film is being shown in collaboration with Christmas in Shepherdstown.
