In remembrance of Swedish director Ingmar Bergman, who died in 2007, the
Shepherdstown Film Society presents one of his few comic films. Instead of stark Nordic
landscapes and existential torment, this film focuses on an older man, an unsophisticated
second wife, a former mistress and a son preparing for the priesthood - all thrown
together on a summer weekend.
Shown with English subtitles and not rated.
Post-film discussion led by Elliot Kirschbaum.
