This film tells the story of two French-born, Arab teenage brothers who go to
live with their uncle in the tenements of Marseilles. The older boy takes the
straight and narrow path, getting a well-paying job on the docks, while
the younger sibling falls into a dead end life of drugs and crime.
Dridi’s film won the Youth Prize at the 1995 Cannes Film Festival
