The title says it all. Two escaped convicts (Jon Voight and Eric Roberts) are on an
out-of-control train in Alaska. The convicts are not alone on the train. A female
railroad employee, also on the train, adds another element of tension to their
predicament. Train dispatchers want to stop the train. The prison warden wants to
recapture his charges. Meanwhile the train barrels along through a blizzard toward
its doom.
The film received three Academy Award nominations for Best Actor, Best Supporting
Actor and Best Editing.
