Glenn Ford and Van Heflin star in this western, based on a short story by Elmore
Leonard, set in the Arizona territory of the 1880s. Trains, stages coaches, a
down-on-his-luck cowboy, vacillating town folk, cagey outlaws and plenty of horses
provide the scene as Van Heflin attempts to thwart a train robbing gang's plan
to free their leader, Glenn Ford, from custody. This film was remade in 2007, but
most critics agree the original is the better film.
