Based on the best selling graphic novel by Marjane Satrapi, this animated film follows the life of a young Iranian woman from preadolescence during the Islamic Revolution, through exile in Austria, a return to Iran and a final departure from her homeland.

The film received a 2008 Oscar nomination for Best Animated Feature Film.

"Persepolis" is being presented in conjunction with Shepherd University's One Book, One Community Program.

Rated PG-13 for mature thematic material including violent images, sexual references, language and brief drug content.
