The fall series theme is "European Films" with films produced
in eight countries and spanning seven decades of moving making.
In addition to its regular Friday night films, the Society also
cosponsored — with Shepherd University's Appalachian Heritage Writer
in Residence Program — a special showing of "Wonders of the African

the 2007 writer in residence, Henry Louis Gates, Jr.
