Tells the story of a woman who returns to a Senegalese
village she was banished from 30 years before. She left poor, unmarried
and pregnant, and now returns wealthy, free and vengeful. A metaphor for
post-colonial Africa.
The film is based on the play The Visit by
Swiss writer Frederick Dürrenmatt (available in libraries and for
on-line purchase)
