This film chronicles a long-term, cat-and-mouse relationship between a
small-town police detective and an accomplished burglar. Both are loners;
the detective is widowed and trying to raise a young daughter on his own.
Variety said the film's "stellar performances lift [it]
from its cop-thief buddy genre and imbue it with a great dose of pathos
and humor."
The film won the director, Izuru Narushima, a Japanese Professional
Movie Award as best new director in 2005.
Not rated.
