This film is set entirely on and around a tree-lined lake where a tiny
Buddhist monastery floats on a raft amidst a breathtaking landscape. An
elderly master lives there with a young pupil who runs away to the
outside world but eventually returns. The story is divided in to five
segments, with each season representing a stage in a man's life.
The film has won a variety of awards in international competitions,
including best foreign film by the Agentinean Film Critics Association
in 2005.
Rated R for some strong sexuality.
